Blacksmith Experience Day: Oldfield Forge Ltd is a family run blacksmithing company combining traditional blacksmithing techniques and craftsmanship with modern technology to produce the finest quality bespoke ironmongery for homes and businesses. At The Academy, you can feel the power of creating your own sword, ring or other keepsake with your own hands. They offer a series of fun blacksmithing packages for families, friends or couples as well as corporate team-building or Christmas party events and vocational courses for future blacksmiths.

Clay Pigeon Shooting: Chessgrove Shoot is on a working Gloucestershire farm with clay pigeon shooting and simulated game shooting. Steve Batt has many years shooting experience and a flair for providing shooting tuition. They welcome individuals and groups of all sizes and experience for just an hour or two or a full day

Segways & Tree Top Rope Course: If you’re looking to couple the charming sites of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean with something that gets your blood pumping a little more, then you’re in luck… Nestled deep within England’s largest oak woodland, awaits hours of high-octane monkey business making for some of the best outdoor activities in Gloucestershire. You’ll find three adventures across two sites at the Forest of Dean, and depending on which one you’re after, you’ll be heading to either Mallards Pike or Beechenhurst Lodge.
Brecon Park Day Boats at Llangattock offer 16ft electric day boats for hire from £100 per day (10 am – 5 pm). Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Monmouthsire and Brecon Canal, stopping off for a picnic or a towpath pub. Approximately 45 minutes and 26 miles by car.
Horse Riding: The Grange Trekking Centre in The Black Mountains is a long established centre, wonderfully situated in some of the most stunning scenery, providing Trekking and Riding. The sturdy welsh cobs and ponies will allow you to see the fantastic Black Mountains and magnificent views of the Brecon Beacons. The speed of the ride depends upon your experience; however there are many chances to trot, and canter, which can be accomplished by those wishing to do so.
